Several items were damaged in our 3 mile move. Their honest employees for the most part showed us most of it as it occurred. They refuse to do anything about it! We are looking at legal action. I have no proof they are insured and they (the claims handler)refuse to provide it nor send an adjuster. As per the contract we had 30 days to make a claim. I called 5 days after the move! Claims was on vacation so my actual claim itself went in on day nine. Use them at your peril. Also please be advised, the quote for our move was 3200.00 if they did everything and that included everything. We were told it would be half that if we packed ourselves. We bought boxes and packed ourselves, all but 12 boxes. The bill was 2900.00 and our 3 car garage was packed completely full. 2900.00 for a 3 mile move and most of it never even got into the house! Only most of the furniture made it in the house unassembled! We estimate at the rate they were going and rate of charge if we hadnt ordered them to start unloading only in the garage it would have been a 9k move. Its a shame, the movers were awesome with the exception of one whom connected the fridge water line. He cracked the plastic connector fridge side. I walked in, asked if he was done. He said yes, i tried the water, it didnt work. He turned on the water at the wall, it worked. Later when it didnt work i learned he had turned it back off. I turned it on, water started leaking everywhere, so now i knew why he turned ot off. Things get broke, scratched, damaged. Its part of moving. Its why you are supposed to carry insurance. Good luck, safe travels.

The major issues occurred on the move into our new home on August 11th. I had contacted H Johnson earlier in the week and confirmed that we were closing on the morning of the 11th and the truck could arrive around Noon. They agreed and also noted that the home was new construction and said they would have the guys brings extra pads to protect my home. They asked me to call after closing, which I did, and they arrived just before Noon. The crew that arrived was less than professional. They didn't put pads down to protect my new flooring or hardwood finished steps to the 2nd floor. The crew kept smoking and playing on cell phones, complaining about my "heavy" furniture. My husband and I bought them whatever they requested from Penn Station lunch with dessert and had drinks for them all day. One mover even asked me if he could have my baby crib mattress!!! I was shocked and gave it to him because his story led me to realize he needed it more than me.

In June, we contracted with H Johnson moving and storage. We sold our home in NKY and were moving back across the river to Cincinnati. There were a couple months in between selling and our new home being ready. Between June and August, H Johnson was purchased by Wayne and Family moving company. I still made all arrangements with H Johnson as if ownership had remained the same.

Doing business with integrity.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Things really took a turn for the worst around 5:30pm. The head mover told me that I was going to have to pay now, that the 2nd truck with furniture on it would arrive any moment and that they weren't going to charge me any additional hourly rate. My biggest mistake was agreeing to this. I reviewed the charges, 13 hours!! Claimed they loaded 4 hours the night before, and started charging me from 7:30am, they didn't arrive until Noon. Again, I didn't want to, but I paid. Considering when they moved us out, they disassembled all the furniture, but didn't assemble anything and we were still missing a lot of furniture and were charged for 13 hours, I only saw them work for 5. Three of the four movers left. One stayed behind to wait for the 2nd truck to arrive.

There was a bit of a hiccup in the moving plans after the truck was loaded. H Johnson was very accommodating and stored everything until the problem was resolved. I highly recommend this company for the your upcoming move!

Being storing with this company for a year and they have worked with me on payments and the staff is so friendly they have helped me out so much

Over the past 3 months, I've spent countless hours getting estimates on damage repairs for my home, my furniture and replacement costs. The moving vehicle in the accident is owned by Wayne & Family. H Johnson/Wayne & Family is not cooperating with the insurance companies. They even went as far as to say that I didn't pay, and I have proof that I did. I just want to be compensated for damages they incurred to my home and personal furniture. I paid for a professional service and they failed. Damages total approximately $11,000 for replacement costs and repairs. It's been more than 3 months and the issue is not resolved.

About 10 minutes later, the remaining mover says there is an issue with the truck. To quote him "it's been put out of service." My husband is instantly upset and said this is bad. I was pushing the mover to get more details. He said we could get our furniture on Monday. I looked around and realized it was our nice dining room furniture, patio set, bed frames, small desk, shelving, etc. The mover ended up agreeing to go pick up the bed frames so we could put the beds together. He came back 2.5 hours later. We thought maybe he decided not to come. The moving truck was involved in an accident. He said the truck was rear ended, with my furniture on the truck, and had trouble getting the doors open. Later we discovered the moving truck caused a 3-car accident on the interstate and he was the 3rd truck (not rear ended). All 3 vehicles were towed. I still don't have my dining room furniture, the buffet and hutch were destroyed. My dining table was destroyed, it actually collapsed and broke last week. They never found the base to my wine bar either. My cast aluminum patio set was seriously damaged. My home was damaged. And almost every piece of furniture they did deliver off the first truck was also damaged.
